Our Story
Creating Forward Careers

The organizations I was part of during my professional life always approached layoffs and career transitions with care, respect, and dignity and recognized them as significant moments that deserved thoughtful support.

However, outside of those environments, I began to notice a consistent gap. Many capable professionals navigating career change did not have access to clear, human, or effective support. Too often, they were left to sort through generic advice, rigid frameworks, or external providers that placed the burden of figuring things out squarely on their shoulders.

I started informally supporting friends, colleagues, and friends-of-friends who were navigating career decisions. These conversations were grounded, practical, and deeply personal, and they consistently made a difference. What started as quiet support became a clear signal that there was a need for something more thoughtful and steady.

Forward Careers grew from that realization. Today, it brings together real-world experience, careful listening, and practical strategy to support professionals through career inflection points with clarity, respect, and a trusted partner in their corner.

I am Lily B., Founder of The Forward Careers Program.

I bring more than 25 years of experience in HR leadership across industries including financial services, legal, and hospitality. My background includes dual master’s degrees in Economics and Communications, an MBA, and a SHRM-SCP certification. But what matters most is this:

Throughout my professional life, one truth has remained constant: people do their best work, and make their strongest decisions, when they have clarity, confidence, and trusted support.
I’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of professionals through moments of transition, growth, and change. I’ve led global teams, built and managed recruiting functions, designed talent development programs, advised senior leaders, and supported organizations through significant periods of transformation.
